Jaroslav Rudiš, Petr Pýcha: CELEBRATION
Welcome to Lomnice nad Popelkou! A radio crew arrives at the local castle to deliver an exceptional concert performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons to their listeners. However, no one knows that the local organization has somewhat gotten out of hand and that they will be faced with a unique plan. And they certainly can't suspect that Vivaldi originally wrote five seasons, not four.
The authorial duo Rudiš - Pýcha (Summer in Lapland, Air Eaters, Christmas in the Desert, The Jumpers) write a comedy tailored for the Klicperovo Theatre. A comedy that plays with history and mystification, and mainly makes fun of ourselves - people who may live in a small town but have not lost big dreams. And most importantly: "Every Czech is a musician!"
Jaroslav Rudiš is a recipient of the Jiří Orten Award, the Alfréd Radok Award, and the Karel Čapek Prize. His books have been translated into many languages. Together with the artist Jaromír 99, he created the cult comic Alois Nebel and currently, you can read his excellent novel Winterberg's Last Journey. Petr Pýcha, a Czech Lion Award or Alfréd Radok Award winner, is credited as a screenwriter for acclaimed films Everything Will Be Fine, Atlas of Birds, or radio plays Tar Oil, The Bulgarian, or More than Paris.
