Judy is the perfect woman. Her home is clean even in the most hidden corners, shirts are always perfectly ironed, food is cooked, and when her husband Johnny returns exhausted from work, a cocktail and warmed slippers await him. A perfect household like from a 1950s advertisement. A perfect life in a perfect time. Except it's 2021. Judy, however, has decided to have a perfect home, no matter the cost. But is it possible to live in a dream without harming our loved ones?

A brisk, smart comedy from the pen of successful British playwright Laura Wade deals with the roles of men and women in society, all in the beautiful retro aesthetics of the fifties. This play lightly and humorously reflects on the desire of today's people to leave the complex world full of stress and confusion and return to a time when everything had simple and clear rules and things were shiny and beautiful. Through witty dialogues and wonderfully written characters, the author not only managed to revive the beautiful world of an idealized past but also ingeniously touch upon the pressing problems that afflict people in today's over-technologized and chaotic time. The play was a huge success in England and received a total of five nominations for the most prestigious British theatre award, the Laurence Olivier Award, including for Best New Comedy.
